In 1936 the Rev. Patrick Eugene Snodgrass said [of Frances Mary (Snodgrass) Nemelki]: She was the wife of Joseph Nemelki, and a daughter of John H. and Alcy Snodgrass. Her husband killed her at their home in Norton [VA]. He then hid himself in a thicket and committed suicide. His body was not found for six weeks.
